The Cottars On Cover of Dirty Linen Magazine

Celtic kids The Cottars made the cover of the latest Dirty Linen magazine.

They did a great show at the Narrows last year.

Note: the Boston Herald has reported that The Cottars have broken up. Couldn't find a confirmation on their website, and they're still listed as touring.

Anybody know anything?

Yes, the cottars have infact broken up. They are finishing off their last few gigs, but the band itself is finished for good this time. However, Fiona and Ciaran MacGillivray, the more talented of the group, still wish to pursue music and you will most likely see them in the music scene in the near future. Thanks for your interest in the Cottars!

Hmmm....interesting!! Roseanne MacKenzie is perhaps the best female fiddler to come out of Cape Breton since Natalee MacMaster and Jimmy MacKenzie is one of the best Celtic guitarists in Cape Breton. If anyone doubts this....try giving a listen to them and read all the comments written about them. Jimmy and Roseanne aren't done yet!!

I don't think it's fair to say some are better than the others, Infact it's totally unfair..I think they were good and had a good go..but, I don't think it's right for the others to continue on to pursue the cottars as it's not the real cottars without the other two.
