Do you remember Rufus and the Moondogs? One of the founding members helped make the Narrows restroom renovations possible, as noted on the above plaque.
i remember them...founded in Little Compton..or perhaps really off 8 rod way in Tiverton..original members were john toste, clem brown, matt brown, bruce gavin and a series of cool local drummers including marty ewing, linc sission, paul lopes and others...they out Deaded the dead at times...played loud and loose and occasionally still play for the fun of it...although off shoots also rock..CBrown and Toste...etc...The Music still rules..
I remember them well, it's too bad Jerry Gagnon isn't still around to play with the band. as a young teen Jerry would let us tag along to all their gigs. URI, The Stone House, The Town and Country.. Those were the good old days..
