Viva Los Lobos!

What can you say? It was the Narrows' 600th show--and what better way to celebrate than bring in one of the finest bands in the land--Los Lobos!

They started off acoustic, playing several songs from the album "Kiko" and other tunes. After a break they came back strapped to their electrics.

It was yet another sold-out show at the Narrows (thank you folks!) and another step as the Narrows continues to broaden its offerings.

The first set was filled with mostly Latino folk music. The whole band was smiling the entire set. The vibe was incredible. The second set was a ripper--heavy on covers--but magical nonetheless. They touched on the Allman Bros., Temptations, Grateful Dead, and Hendrix. One word--wow!! They meandered from traditional, to blues, to rock and roll, to psychedelic, and back again.

Another great night at the Narrows.

Is this show going to appear in the MVY Radio archives?
